Whistleblowers say Trump’s bodyguards only received two-hour online training before assassination attempt

Whistleblowers have claimed that the majority of agents assigned to protect former President Donald Trump the day he survived an assassination attempt were not even Secret Service members, but members of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) who had only completed a brief online training session.

In an interview with Fox News on Tuesday night, Jesse Watters in prime timeHawley said the former president was being monitored by DHS agents who only attended “a two-hour online webinar.”

“And I was told that half the time the audio on the webinar didn’t even work,” said the senator, who required A full investigation into the shooting was opened the day after the incident.

“So think about this: The former president of the United States … is sent up on stage. Most of the people there are not trained, they are not qualified. They only received training via webinar, and even that didn’t work,” Hawley continued. “It’s absolutely outrageous.”

The Republican also lambasted the Secret Service and the FBI for hiding important facts about the Crooks attack.

“The only reason we have this information is because of whistleblowers,” he told the Fox News host.

Hawley had previously claimed that whistleblowers with direct knowledge of the assassination attempt came to his office to reveal that the rally was considered a “lax” security event.
