Where Chiefs, Lions stand entering NFL playoffs

The Chiefs are underdogs in their three-peat quest.

The Lions are the favorites at FanDuel to win Super Bowl 2025, with their +320 odds coming in slightly ahead of the back-to-back champions’ +370 odds.

Oddsmakers have five teams with odds of +650 or better, while the AFC South champions and fourth-seeded Texans bring up the rear with 100/1 odds.

It’s not surprising that the two No. 1 seeds have the best odds in the sport since they produced the top two records and need only two wins to secure a Super Bowl berth.

Some can argue whether the bye helps or hurts but, in theory, having one less game to navigate in a physical sport is beneficial.

FanDuel is higher on the Chiefs’ potential opponents than the Lions’, with the Ravens (+550) and Bills (+600) occupying the third and fourth spots, respectively.

The Eagles, who are hoping Jalen Hurts (concussion) can play Sunday against the Packers, are the Lions’ biggest threat, ranking fifth with their +650 odds.

The NFL playoff bracket entering wild-card weekend.

The Vikings, who went 14-3, are the only other team with odds less than 20/1 with their +1400 standing.

Minnesota could be worth a flier at those odds, but the problem lies in that it would face the Lions in the second round if the Eagles and Buccaneers both win in the first round.

Betting on the NFL?

Among the long shots, the Packers are an intriguing team at 22/1 odds.

Yes, Green Bay went 0-5 against Lions, Vikings and Eagles.

But they played those teams tough in all the losses and could be facing an Eagles team that either will be starting a quarterback off a concussion or a potential backup.
