When will Andy Murray be in action at the Paris Olympics? Dates, start times and events as tennis legend set to retire

Andy Murray is one of the most famous stars in the GB team and he will be aiming to become a triple Olympic gold medallist in Paris this summer.

The British tennis star has confirmed that this will be the final tournament of his career after many injury-plagued years, but before he bows out he will take part in one last edition of the Games.

The 2012 Olympics were one of the biggest moments of Murray’s career, as he beat Roger Federer to win men’s singles gold, sparking a run that saw him win his first Grand Slam later that year before eventually becoming Wimbledon champion in 2013.

At Rio 2016, the Scot became the first tennis player in Olympic history to win two singles gold medals after beating Juan Martin del Potro.

Now that the 37-year-old is heading into his final Olympics, talkSPORT.com takes a look at when you can see him in action…

When is Andy Murray in action?

The Paris Olympic Games began on Friday, July 26.

Murray withdrew from the men’s singles at the last minute, meaning he will only compete in the men’s doubles with Dan Evans.

In the first round, the British duo will face Taro Daniel and Kei Nishikori.

Their match is expected to kick off around 7pm UK time.

The second round will take place on Monday, July 29, with matches starting at 11 a.m.

The third round matches start at the same time as the second but on Tuesday, July 30.

Men’s doubles

First round – Sunday July 28 – around 7 p.m.

Second round – Monday July 29 – from 11am

Semi-finals – Wednesday July 31 – from 11am

Bronze Medal Match – Friday, August 2 – from 11 a.m.

Gold Medal Game – Saturday, August 3 – N/A

The semi-finals will take place on Wednesday, July 31, with the same approximate start time.

The bronze medal match is scheduled for Friday, August 2, and the gold medal match will be decided on Saturday, August 3.
