Bag policy

In 2022, a revised bag policy was introduced, allowing customers to bring medium-sized backpacks (no larger than 18 inches by 13 inches by 8.5 inches) in addition to fanny packs, bags purses and handbags. The bags were checked by placing their belongings in a box of similar dimensions to ensure compliance.

For added convenience, locker rentals will be available on site so participants can secure their personal belongings. Medium lockers, equipped with a combination lock, cost $79; large lockers with combination locks are $89; and extra-large lockers with combination locks cost $99. Prices include all three days and can be purchased at coachella.com/lockers

New steps

The Quasar Stage is the latest addition to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup. This addition promises three-hour extended sets over both weekends, featuring an array of electronic music artists and DJs. Although details regarding its location and times remain confidential, anticipation is high among festival-goers.

The first weekend will feature Honey Dijon, Green Velvet, Michael Bibi, Jamie XX, Floating Points and Daphni. The second weekend will welcome RÜFÜS DU SOL (DJ Set), Eric Prydz, Anyma, Diplo and Mau P.

In February, Los Angeles developer Goldenvoice announced the expansion and relocation of the iconic Sahara Tent. The new configuration, constructed primarily of steel, unlike its aluminum predecessor, spans an impressive 320 feet. Located between Avenue 51 and Polo Road, south of its previous location and closer to the Blue Path parking lot, the renovated Sahara Tent has increased capacity and improved stage production capabilities for artists.

Parking rules

In January, proponents initially introduced a requirement requiring a minimum of four occupants per vehicle, including the driver. However, following a wave of protests from fans over the new regulations, a review recently took place and the requirement was lifted. Despite this change, Coachella continues to advocate for attendees to carpool, promoting sustainable transportation options. People traveling in vehicles with four or more occupants remain eligible to win lifetime VIP passes, highlighting the festival’s commitment to promoting environmentally friendly travel alternatives.

The car parks will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. every three days. Everyone in a vehicle must wear a festival bracelet. Once the prizes are filled, participants will be directed to a nearby, off-site location. Pick-ups and drop-offs in daytime parking areas are prohibited; certain locations will be designated for these purposes. Additionally, motorcycles will have parking privileges in the ADA lot.

Preferred parking passes will also be available, starting at $249, to enter through the north entrance at Avenue 49 and Monroe Street.

For those who prefer to experience Coachella from the comfort of their own home, YouTube has extended its exclusive live streaming and content partnership for the festival through 2026. That means even if you opt for “Couchella” this year, you won’t will gain nothing. Don’t miss any action.
