Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse University announced a crowd of 13,395 fans for Tuesday night’s ACC matchup with Georgia Tech at the JMA Wireless Dome.
It was the lowest-attended men’s basketball game of the 2024-25 season so far. The previous low was a crowd of 14,473 for SU’s 81-71 loss to Wake Forest on New Year’s Eve.
Syracuse students were away on winter break for both of those games.
Those in attendance saw Syracuse defeat Georgia Tech 62-55 for its first ACC win of the season.
“I want to thank the fans that came out tonight,” Syracuse head coach Adrian Autry said. “It meant a lot to this team. There’s been a lot of noise in a tough period of time and I just want to thank the fans tonight that came out for our team.”
Syracuse, which has led the nation in total attendance 28 times since the Carrier Dome (now JMA Wireless Dome) opened in 1980 and routinely finishes in the Top 3 in that category, is currently sixth in accumulated attendance (153,174)
