How much did it cost to build the stadiums for the 2022 World Cup?

Seven of the stadiums are new, with the Khalifa International Stadium being the only one that stood before Qatar won the World Cup bid. But, as mentioned earlier, even the Khalifa International Stadium underwent a massive renovation ahead of the tournament.

Total reported costs associated with building the new stadiums ranged between $6.5 billion and $10 billion, according to Front Office Sports. Al Bayt Stadium was the most expensive of the new venues to be built with a reported cost of $847 million.
