McDonough, Georgia-A sufficient object to be seen from misunderstandings in the midday sky fell into certain parts of the southeast of the United States on Thursday.

The object was probably either a meteor or space waste, with most observations of the light and fire ball from Georgia and South Carolina around 12:30 p.m., the National Weather Service Office said in Peachtree City, in Georgia, social networks.

Someone in the county of Henry, in Georgia, reported a rock coming through his roof roughly when they heard the sound boom of the fire ball. He left a hole in the ceiling on the size of a golf ball and a crack in laminate soil, the meteorological service said.

Emergency officials investigate the object that dropped around 25 miles (40 kilometers) southeast of Atlanta.

Dashboard and doorbell cameras through several states in the southeast of the United States saw the fireball that seemed to fall directly. More than 140 people in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee reported the object to the American Meteor Society.

Metears and other space debris frequently enter the earth’s atmosphere, but it is rare that an object is so shiny that it can easily be seen in broad daylight.

Shiny fireballs are caused by friction while an object enters the atmosphere and slows down considerably. Almost all objects are divided into tiny pieces before hitting the ground, according to to NASA.
