The leader Rashtriya Lok Janshakti (RLJP) Pashupati Kumar Paras resigned from his post as Minister of the Union, one day after his party found no place in the seats sharing agreement of the National Alliance Democratic (NDA) at Bihar for the next Lok Sabha elections.
Speculations were widespread on the paras that came out of the NDA after warning last week that his party was “free to go anywhere” while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chose its distant nephew Chirag Paswan, Who controls a faction of the Lok Janshakti party (LJP), which controls a faction of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), on him.

Why did the BJP choose Chirag Paswan on his uncle? What does the exit of Pashupati Kumar paras from the NDA mean the general elections of the Bihar? Let’s take a closer look.
A brief look at the quarrel of Chirag Paswan with the uncle
Rift broke out between Chirag Paswan and his uncle, paras, after the death of the founder of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Ram Vilas Paswan, in October 2020.
In June 2021, the LJP divided into two groups. A faction – LJP (RAM Vilas) – is led by Ram Vilas’s son, Chirag, while the other – Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) – is directed by Paras.
Sans, the younger brother of the founder of the LJP, took five of the six deputies with him, leaving the faction of his nephew with one and no deputies.
The uncle and the nephew are in a bitter dispute in the constituency of Hajipur Lok Sabha in the Bihar Vaihali district. The late founding of the LJP had represented the siege eight times in Parliament.
Now, Ram Vilas Paswan’s parents are competing for his heritage. Pashupati Paras won the Hajipur district during Lok Sabha 2019 polls on an LJP ticket, beating Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of more than two Lakh votes, according to Times of India (you).
However, Chirag, a deputy for Jamui, does not want to give in.
Why did BJP choose Chirag Paswan now?
Chirag Pawan had left the NDA led by the BJP in 2020 and challenged the Bihar assembly elections that year. In 2021, the BJP rose to the side of paras in its battle for the legacy of Paswan with its nephew, leaving Chirag isolated.
However, the tides began to turn to the head of the LJP (RAM Vilas) after the chief minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, left NDA in August 2022, according to India today.
Janata Dal (United) Supremo had shared a difficult relationship with Ram Vilas Paswan. He and Chirag are not in good terms either. In fact, chef JD (U) was even accused of engineering a split in the LJP. The BJP would also have supported the brilliance of the Ram Vilas party which was before the assembly elections in Bihar.
During the 2020 surveys, Chirag’s party presented candidates in all seats in the Assembly where JD (U) had disputed. According to India todayNitish Kumar’s party was considerably reduced by 71 seats in 2015 to only 43 due to the voting division.
Consequently, for the first time, JD (U) had to face a junior partner of the BJP, who had won 74 of the 243 seats of the Assembly.
Despite a split in the LJP, Chirag Pawan has proven his electoral courage. An important part of the Six Paswan vote in Bihar rallied behind him, noted India today. Notwans constitutes the largest constituent of the planned caste population in the Bihar.
Even after leaving the NDA, Chirag did not spoil his relations with the BJP. He once described as “Hanuman” of the PM Modi. Almost three years later, his efforts borne fruit and he returned to the nda fold, while his uncle received the cold shoulder.
The saffron party seems to have taken into account the vote of Paswan before dropping the paras.
“Among the voters of Paswan, the acceptance of Chirag Paswan is any day bigger than his uncle Pashupati Kumar paras,” said a senior state official The Hindus Last year.
However, the Rift between Nitish Kumar and Chirag could be a thorn in the ambitious BJP objective to secure “400 seats” in the next Lok Sabha surveys. The JD (U) Supremo joined the NDA in January.
The BJP should present itself from 17 seats in Lok Sabha in Bihar, while the JD (U) will present to the candidates of 16 seats – an indication from the top of the Saffron party in its links with the party of Nitish NDTV.
The LJP of Chirag Paswan (Ram Vilas) received five seats, including Hajipur, instead of the six that the party wanted.
The two small partners NDA – Hindustani Awam Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha – will fight from a seat each.

What the outlet of paras means for bihar ls surveys
The exit of paras from the NDA opened doors for a battle of the uncle vs nephew at Bihar.
Besides Hajipur, Chirag’s party will participate in the seats of Samastipur, Jamui, Vauli and Khagaria.
The dumping of paras by the BJP could lead to LJP vs LJP fights in these seats. Paras has itery that he will fight the siege of Hajipur, which means a direct fight with his nephew.
“The three deputies of the party will present themselves from their respective seats,” said Paras earlier.
Although the RLJP Supremo has not shared its future plans, there are rumors that it could reach the opposition block in India.
A national vice-president of RLJP said The New Indian Express (TNIE) These senior party leaders met Paras on Monday at his official residence in New Delhi on Monday (March 18) to deliberate the future plan. The talks about joining the great alliance of the opposition to the Bihar also appeared.
We will have to wait and see what is in reserve for the Bihar policy.
