NEW YORK – We are only a few days away from the solar eclipse of April 8And everyone will look to the sky to observe this astonishing cosmic phenomenon, with the right glasses Of course.
Believe it or not, there’s a lot more going on in the sky than just an eclipse. The science of an eclipse is as real as the stars in the sky. But these stars also tell another story, and this is how astrology is impacted by this cyclical alignment of the sun, moon and earth. And not all signs will be affected equally.
“Aries will definitely be impacted. Additionally, their opposite sign, Libra, will be impacted as well. And the signs of Cancer and Capricorn will definitely be impacted as well. Let’s just say that everyone in the zodiac will be impacted. No one gets out of this .an eclipse with no impact,” said astrologer Rebecca Gordon.
Gordon believes that the planets always exert an influence on events and our behavior, and that eclipses only amplify what is happening. Gordon acknowledges that, for some, astrology is just window dressing, but encourages an open mind.
“You look at patterns and cycles,” Gordon said. “Great things happen during eclipses. That you just can’t argue with.”
Gordon says you just need to look at the patterns of important historical events that occurred at key times. For example:
- When the Titanic set sail in April 1912, scientists say an extremely rare position of the sun, earth and moon caused an unusually high tide, allowing ice floes to move south and into the path of the liner .
- On December 1, 1955, civil rights icon Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus, just two days after a lunar eclipse.
- Hours after a solar eclipse on June 21, 1982, Prince William was born. The connection between eclipses and the royal family is said to go back centuries.
Gordon says the impacts of the moon’s path are important in astrology.
“When the moon is full, the tides are high. All crustaceans are born on a full moon. Did you know that jellyfish are often born on a full moon? So, essentially, the waters swell the waters of the ocean. What is your body made of?” Gordon said. “You’re kind of in the eye of the needle of eclipse season. That’s when there can be a little bit of chaos and confusion. So in your life, there might be “there is, why did this job let me go, this relationship just started, this relationship ended. There can be a lot of changes. … You don’t want to plan too much, leave space open, because you will need this space to respond thoughtfully.
