What does Fortnite Crew offer on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to subscribers?

Fortnite Crew joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as a benefit for top-tier subscribers starting Tuesday November 18, 2025. This is great news if you’re a regular Fortnite player who also has a Game Pass subscription, but what does that mean if you’re not aware Fortnite? What exactly does a Fortnite Crew membership get you? Well, in this article we are going to break it all down for you.

The good news is that even if you’ve long since finished searching for Fortnite achievements and haven’t kept up with every Battle Pass, there might still be at least one “bonus perk” from Fortnite Crew that might prove useful to you. However, as you might expect, the biggest benefits will be reserved for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers who play. Fortnite. So, let’s first look at the benefits for Battle Royale fans.

What Fortnite: Battle Royale items will I receive?

All Xbox Game Pass tiers (except PC Game Pass) currently allow you to stream Fortnite from your favorite Xbox Cloud Gaming compatible device. However, if you upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate in time for Fortnite Crew’s launch on the service on November 18, you’re sure to get a lot more bang for your buck if you’re a regular. Fortnite Battle Royale player.

Fortnite Crew gives you access to the latest Premium Battle Pass – the improved version of the Free Pass which unlocks new rewards at each level in addition to your usual free unlocks. It costs 1,000 V-Bucks to upgrade to the Battle Pass ($8.99 on the Microsoft Store), and if you had it last season, you could unlock a UNSC Spartan outfit (from Halo) and some Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Outfits.

Fortnite Crew also gives you access to the latest OG pass for Fortnite OG. In case you didn’t know, Fortnite OG is an alternative version of Fortnite Battle Royale which runs through older seasons of the game, and the OG Pass features unlockables that would have been available back in the day on the original Battle Pass.

You will also get 1,000 V-Bucks on top of all that. You can spend V-Bucks in the in-game store and unlock outfits and other content, or you can spend later to access a future Battle Pass. If you decide to end your Fortnite Crew membership at any time, you can always opt for the next Battle Pass with your saved V-Bucks!

What other Fortnite-related items will I receive?

In addition to all of the above, your Fortnite Crew membership will also earn you a Unique Monthly Crew Pack. For every month you remain subscribed to Fortnite Crew, you will get many unlockables that will only be available to Fortnite Crew subscribers. The contents of these packs may change, but as an example, the October 2025 pack came with two unique “Hana Park” outfits (one for Fortnite and another for LEGO Fortnite), a “Starlit Heart” Back Bling and the “Heartbreaker Lightstick” pickaxe.

You will also get the Lego Premium Pass to use in Lego Fortnite – itself typically costs players 1,400 V-Bucks to unlock (this would be $10 on the Microsoft Storealthough there is no option for this specific amount, so you will have to spend more). Much like the Fortnite Battle Pass, this means you can play the game and unlock special unlockable rewards at each level; These rewards happen to be unique to LEGO Fortnite.

Finally, there is the Premium Music Passwhich offers rewards for both Fortnite: Battle Royale and the rhythm game spin-off Fortnite Party. It also costs 1,400 V-Bucks ($10 on the Microsoft Store) alone and also offers free and premium rewards as you progress. Rewards usually include outfits for Fortnite characters and songs you can use on Fortnite Party.

Are there any non-Fortnite related perks in this thing?

Your Fortnite Crew membership also comes with a renewable “bonus benefit”. This changes from month to month and may not happen at all in some months, depending on Epic (although they’ve been available pretty consistently for over two years now). At the time of writing, the big bonus benefit for Fortnite Crew subscribers is access to Rocket League Premium Rocket Pass.

This means that Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to unlock premium tier unlockables on the latest version of Rocket League‘s own Battle Pass-style rewards system. Rocket Pass Premium usually costs 1,000 credits (the lowest you can get from the Microsoft Store is 1,100 credits, which costs $9.99). So if you don’t play Fortnite but do play Rocket League, there is at least something in Fortnite Crew for you.

Is Fortnite Crew on Game Pass Ultimate worth it?

So the problem facing long-time Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers is that the addition of Fortnite Crew to the service increased the price of Ultimate by $10 per month. Fortnite Crew costs $11.99 per month. So if you are a regular Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber who plays day one games all the time, and also a Fortnite player (or Rocket League player) who regularly collects the latest premium Battle Pass, it’s a good deal.

Of course, that can’t describe many people. If you are a regular Fortnite gamer, you’re probably too busy dealing with all the FOMO that comes from your numerous Battle Passes to really need or use Xbox Game Pass. In this case, going from $11.99 for Fortnite Crew to $29.99 for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate would be a huge cost.

Meanwhile, if you paid $19.99 last year to enjoy select Xbox Game Pass Ultimate games on day one, you probably didn’t have enough free time to squeeze the full value out of the latest Fortnite Battle Pass. So an additional cost of $10 per month to unlock the potential to get more stuff from Fortnite is probably excessive.

Can I unsubscribe from Fortnite Crew on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?

I’m afraid not. Unfortunately, even with all of these changes to Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft has yet to find a way for players to choose what benefits they would like to see from their subscription. Instead, it simply bundled all the benefits under one big cost with Game Pass Ultimate.

If you want to stay subscribed to Game Pass but reduce the cost, you can upgrade to Game Pass Premium, which gives you access to many of the best games from last year’s day one. Or, if you own a PC, you can check out PC Game Pass, which still offers most of the Game Pass Ultimate games from day one for just $16.49.

So, with everything planned for you, will you stick with Game Pass Ultimate? If you remain a subscriber, will you use Fortnite Crew? Or will you stick with every other Xbox Game Pass game released at this level? Let us know in the comments below!
