What could Jonathan Kuminga bring to the Warriors in match 7 against Rockets

San Francisco – With the season at stake, the coach of the Warriors Steve Kerr is open to all the possibilities for match 7 in Houston on Sunday evening.

So does that mean that Jonathan Kuminga is an option against the dawn defense of the Rockets in the last match of the series?

Maybe.

“At a hundred percent, he is on the table,” said Kerr, adding: “Up 3-1, things are fine. Then, the last two games went very badly. We have to assess everything. Starts, entry, everything we have to assess.”

Kuminga, a 9 -inch 6 -inch striker, was a healthy scratch for four of the six games in the series and out of the rotation since the last game of the regular season.

In this series against the Rockets, Kerr showed that he was not opposed to changing things.

He moved Buddy Hield in the start of match 3 in place of Moses Moody and replaced Brandin Podziemski with Gary Payton II in match 6.

Kuminga could provide assistance on the boards (4.6 rebounds per game) and a credible driving threat well necessary next to Jimmy Butler and Steph Curry.

The wing had a free throw rate of 41.4%, the second highest frequency of the team next to Butler.

In a series where Golden State has struggled to generate non -GROSSE francs attempts – a derisory 54 in six games – Kuminga’s ability to reach the line and generate easy points could be an antidote for the Rockets zone.

He proved during the regular season, he is able to set up large figures.

Kuminga collected an average of 15.3 points per match in 47 appearances during the season, but missed more than 30 games with a serious ankle injury.

Once back, Jimmy Butler had rooted in the team. The two did not play well together, with the heavy offensive of Kuminga by killing the offensive by operating in the same spaces that Butler wanted to attack.

With Butler, regularly recording high minutes when the season was at an end and the page turned to the playoffs, Kuminga was sent to the bench.

When Butler was injured in match 2 and had to miss the match 3 with a bruised basin, Kuminga was invited to fulfill and had unequal results.

He pulled 4 out of 12 for 11 points during the defeat of match 2 and started, but only played 17 minutes in match 3, ending with seven points.

Once Butler has returned, Kuminga returned to the bench, where he stayed.

Would he be ready for match 7?

“Yeah, he cut for that,” said Draymond Green. “He cut for everything we’re throwing him. He has built well, the right way, for that.”

If Kuminga was playing in match 7, it could be the last time that he has been wearing a Warriors uniform. The 22 -year -old will be a restricted free agent this offseason.

After playing in match 3, Kuminga said he was still “ready” for his opportunity.

He might have the chance to prove it on Sunday with the season at stake.
