Detroit Tigers president of baseball operations Scott Harris will continue his efforts to attract more young talent during Sunday’s MLB draft.
Last year, the Tigers selected high school outfielder Max Clark with the third overall pick, and while nothing is certain, the smooth-swinging lefty is already starting to look the part, starting in center field and leading the American League team into Saturday’s All-Star Futures Game.
After finishing second in the American League Central Division last year, the Tigers hold the 11th overall pick in the 2024 draft and will start things off by making three selections Sunday after acquiring a compensatory pick (72nd).

Day 1 begins at 7 p.m. (ESPN) with the first 74 picks of the draft, teams that have completed the first two rounds, plus compensatory picks. Things then resume at 2 p.m. Monday (Rounds 3-10) and Tuesday (Rounds 11-20), leading up to the All-Star Game later that night.
