Torpille’s new bats have created a buzz across the United States and in the rest of the world of baseball with New York Yankees reaching a team record nine circuits that have traveled 3695 feet combined during their 20-9 beat from Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. The Yankees ended up scoring 15 circuits in their first three games of the season against the Brewers, including four in their victory 12-3 on Sunday, equaling the MLB record previously established by the Detroit Tigers in 2006.
“It’s just to try to be the best possible,” said manager Aaron Boone. “This is one of the things that have been highlighted. I tell you all the time, we are trying to win in the margin and that appears in so many different ways.”

MLB has relatively simple bat rules, indicating less than 3.02: “The bat must be a smooth round stick no more than 2.61 inches in diameter with the thickest part and no more than 42 inches in length. The bat must be a piece of solid wood. ” He continues to say that there can be an indentation in cut up to 1 1/4 inches deep, 2 inches wide and with at least a diameter of 1 inch, and the experimental models must be approved by MLB.
