What are the betting odds for the first Donald Trump-Joe Biden debate? – Orange County Register

LAS VEGAS — President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have agreed to participate in two presidential debates. The premiere will take place on June 27 at the CNN studios in Atlanta.

The betting line on which candidate will win the first debate has opened on Pick’em at BetOnline.ag, an offshore sports betting site that operates illegally in the United States. The two were each listed at -120.

Violent action against Trump made the book a -140 favorite, with Biden becoming a tie-breaking underdog.

“Clearly, the majority of Americans think Biden has no chance against Trump in a debate,” said BetOnline.ag political bettor Paul Krishnamurty. “And we see that playing out with these odds since 100% of the money bet so far is on Trump. We will continue to move the odds based on the action, but Trump could become the clear favorite by June.”

A negative number represents the amount a person would have to bet to win $100. In this case, a bettor would have to bet $140 to win $100 on Trump and win the debate. The outcome on BetOnline.ag will be determined by “any poll co-sanctioned by CNN.”

There is also a side bet on whether the debate will be postponed or canceled. No is a -500 favorite, while Yes is a 3-1 underdog.

The second debate is scheduled for September 10 and will be hosted by ABC.

“It is my great honor to accept the CNN debate against crooked Joe Biden,” Trump posted on his Truth Social website. “Likewise, I accept the ABC News debate against Crooked Joe on September 10.”

Biden said he did the same.

“Trump says he will arrange his own transportation,” Biden wrote on X. “I will also bring my plane. I plan to keep it for another four years.

According to Electionbettingodds.com, Trump has a 52.4% chance, which equals -110, of winning the election against Biden. Biden has a 40.1% chance, which equates to +149.

A positive number represents the profit a bettor would earn on a $100 bet. A $100 bet on Biden would in this case yield a profit of $149.
