A Westfield has been thrown into lockdown following reports of a gunman in the area.
Westfield Marion in Adelaide, South Australia, was evacuated after an armed man was spotted in the David Jones store.
A customer claimed the incident happened on the second floor of the store and saw a security guard coming up the escalator from the first level.
“The staff was great, but people were definitely panicking and running for all the exits,” they said.
Films showing in a nearby cinema were immediately stopped and patrons evacuated.
