West Wing’s Aaron Sorkin says he suffered a stroke

Aaron Sorkin recently suffered a medical emergency.

Sorkin, 61, explained in a series of interviews with The New York Times posted on March 22 that he found himself banging into walls as he walked to his kitchen in the middle of the night. The next morning, after continuously spilling his juice, he went to see his doctor, where he learned that he had suffered a stroke.

In fact, his blood pressure was so high that Sorkin told the outlet, “You’re supposed to be dead.”

As for the physical impact that occurred, Sorkin shared that he struggled to type and articulate words. Now these side effects are no longer part of its reality. However, according to the outlet, he can no longer taste the food as well as before.

Reflecting on the experience, Sorkin said, “It was mostly a loud wake up call.”
