The manager of Barcelona, Hansi Flick and the former boss of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, criticized the general referee and the Polish referee Szymon Marciniak for the penalty granted to Inter Milan in the first half of the meeting on Tuesday, while the Italian team reached the final of the UEFA Champions League.
Inter Milan defeated Barcelona 4-3 at home on the second floor of the semi-final, with the replacement Davide Prattesi marking in overtime while they went to the last 7-6 on Aggigate. They will face Paris Saint-Germain or at the Arsenal in the final.
One of the turning points of the exciting match was a penalty that was granted to Lautaro Martinez of Inter at the end of the first half. The penalty was granted after a Var review for a last challenge by Pau Cubarsi on Martinez, which the referee did not initially see as a fault.
Marciniak was also exposed to a meticulous examination for canceling a penalty decision in favor of Barcelona after the Var said that Henrikh Mkhital’s fault on Lamine Yamal was just outside the box.

Barcelona also called handball inside the box by Inter Defender Acerbi and a fault from the rear Denzel Dumfries on Gerard Martin in the accumulation of the equalizer of Francesco Acerbi, who took the game for more time.
“I don’t want to talk too much about the referee, but each decision that was 50 to 50 years old was (Inter),” said Flick at a press conference. “I’m disappointed, but not with my team. They tried everything. It’s like that. We came out, but next year, we will try again to make fans happy.

“It makes me sad … My team did an excellent job. I don’t like to talk about the referee … I told him what I think, but I’m not going to say it here what I said … “
The former Arsenal manager, Wenger, estimated that the penalty grants Martinez in the first half who was ultimately converted by Hakan çalhanoğlu was an unfair decision because the Cubarsi defender was the first in the ball, however, the journal au idle has made the tackle look like a fault.
“I am strongly against this kind of penalties. And I am strongly against the use of the idle. At the normal rhythm, it is an excellent tackle and it is the first on the ball,” said Wenger on BeIN Sports.
“Why does he touch him?” Look at what Lautaro Martinez does, he looks at him, he is looking for penalty. He knows that he will not score now because he feels it there.
“The arbitrator of this situation shows that he did not make the right decision.

“He is the first on the ball and is for me what matters, the rest is made by Lautaro Martinez. No matter if there is contact, that is the ball and wins the ball first.”
