Weapons in Cinemacon de Barbarian Director

Billboard Women in Music 2025

The brain “Barbarian” Zach Cregger is officially back, bringing a deep overview of his latest film, “Weapons”, at Cinemacon 2025.

During a robust presentation of Warner Bros. During the Las Vegas rally, Cregger proved why he was one of the most coveted directors who are currently working in the lucrative genre. This time, he brought together a set led by Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Benedict Wong and June Diane Raphael.

Garner features as a primary school teacher who may have the worst day of all time, when one morning she arrives at school to find all her first period of first period disappeared the day before.

“Ms. Gandy’s room was completely empty,” says an innocent little girl but disturbing in a voiceover on the trailer cut exclusively for world cinema owners. “Because the day before, at 2:17 am, each child woke up, came out of bed, went downstairs and in darkness and they never returned.”

As a small town where Cregger’s horror spectacle is fixed coils, Garner teacher becomes the focal point of parental and administrative anger. It takes long before these missing children start to appear to him as appearances – hollow orbits and disturbing smiles. Brolin plays a particularly heart to come to come to Garner and demanding answers on his missing daughter.

We cannot emphasize how some of these images were – featuring children who doze with a sleeping pills, running in the dark terrain. The last moments of the trailer revealed a terrifying figure hiding deep in the woods, which massively looked like a clown woman.

The head of cinema New Line, Richard Brener, described the film as “intriguing and unpredictable, with a good help from Batshit Force. We think you will appreciate the ride ”. Cregger himself said that the project was “a film that takes place and reinvents itself as it spoke”.

The expectations are high, while the “barbarian” of Cregger rocked the genre and provided a successful success in 2022 for the new streaming service of Warner Bros. Discovery. He also brought in nearly $ 50 million to the box office with a modest budget of $ 4 million.

Warner Bros. Clearly liked what they saw in the “weapons”. The film was initially planned for an release of January 2026 (an experimental month, to use the nicest possible word to describe this period), but in recent weeks, it has been removed until August this year.

The film will now open a week after “Together”, another genre event film that sold Neon of the following year film Film Festival.
