We got our first look at Jeep’s only electric vehicle: meet the Wagoneer S

  • Jeep has unveiled its first electric vehicle, the Wagoneer S.
  • The all-electric Wagoneer features a sleeker design than the gas-powered SUV.
  • The SUV will go on sale this fall with a starting price of $71,995.

We just got our first look inside the new all-electric Jeep SUV at an event in New York.

The electric Wagoneer S is packed with technology and packs an impressive powertrain.

A screen-laden interior is made possible by parent company Stellantis’ BEV-specific platform, which will underpin the Wagoneer S. The platform is also designed to deliver zero to 60 mph acceleration in 3.4 seconds, the company said.

The First Launch Edition Wagoneers will cost $71,995, including shipping, when it hits dealerships this fall.

Jeep has positioned the Wagoneer as the brand’s premium extension of rugged SUVs, and this electric vehicle appears to be no exception.

The company’s press release highlights the Wagoneer S’s “meticulously crafted, handcrafted details” and “technology-focused interior,” which indicate the electric SUV will follow in the footsteps of its gas-powered siblings.
