Who cares that she was convicted of diverting funds from the European Parliament, illegally siphoning money to the EU to pay party employees who can barely point from Brussels or Strasbourg on a map? People voted for Le Pen because it is the Robin Hood of modern Europe, flying to the rich institutions and reinvesting in its national political interest.
It is barely important that these funds come from EU countries, that these countries earn money by collecting taxes with their citizens and that, consequently, these former deputies, including the pen, wrongly of the citizens of the EU.
Marine Le Pen was personally responsible for € 474,000 (4 million euros) in this case. To put this in perspective, if the declassified mathematics are correct – it is rarely – it amounts to € 17,555 for each Member State. The average price of a European pizza is around € 13 (Brussels did not obtain the memo), which represents around 11,396 pizzas per country, which, frankly, should be reimbursed. (EDS: Is all this for the necessary pizzas? No. But the pizzas improve any story.)
But again, this is not relevant. The truth is that we are all seafarers.
Not because of taking bureaucrats to give the poor (ISH). Nor because we all had a denominating father of the holocaust who haunts our career from the start (at least not all).
We are all seafarers because, basically, we all want to deceive the system in one way or another. And when they catch us, instead of having our mistakes, we come out of the room, passing in front of everyone without saying a word. We have a crisis of anger. In the end, we are all noisy toddlers.
And now that the prodigy has been punished and could be out of the spotlight for some time, we do not know who to admire.
