Knoxville, Tennessee – The University of Tennessee set a new softball record after Karlyn Pickens launched a field of 79.2 Mi / h, establishing the fastest field record ever launched in the history of softball during the match against Nebraska in match 2 of Knoxville Super Regionals.
Pickens had previously dethroned VFL Monica Abbot, who launched a field of 77 MPH in 2012 in a national pro Fastpitch match, according to the world records Guinness.
Pickens launched a field of 79.4 MPH, breaking its previous record of 78.2 MPH.
