Watch: Rowoon and Park Seo Ham Unwittingly Join Forces to Take On a Horde of Enemies in Upcoming Historical Drama

Disney+ is gearing up for the release of its first-ever original historical drama “The Murky Stream”!

On January 7, Disney+ revealed its highly anticipated drama lineup for 2025, including “The Murky Stream,” which stars Rowoon, Shin Ye Eun, Park Seo Ham, and Park Ji Hwan.

Set in the Joseon era, where the once clear Gyeong River has turned into a murky stream, “The Murky Stream” follows the tumultuous fate of Si Yool (Rowoon), who hides his past and becomes a thug, the wise and just Choi. Eun (Shin Ye Eun) and Jeong Cheon (Park Seo Ham), who dreams of becoming an incorruptible official.

Director Choo Chang Min shared his thoughts: “This is my first attempt at a series and I found that it offers a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of emotions and deep connections between characters. We’ve worked tirelessly through scorching summers and freezing winters, so I hope viewers will show their support and anticipation.

In addition to new stills, Disney+ also previewed its upcoming drama lineup through a packed teaser. In one intense scene, Si Yul faces a group of men alone, exuding raw determination. Attention then shifts to Jung Cheon, standing behind him. If Yul says this sharp sentence: “What do you think? Can you handle it? If you’re afraid, move away and stand behind me,” hinting at their tense dynamic and the possibility of an unexpected alliance.
