Washington Commanders sign ‘male role model’ to replace No. 2 pick Jayden Daniels at quarterback

The Washington Commanders have signed “male model” quarterback Sam Hartman as an undrafted free agent, according to multiple reports.

Hartman, who finished his college career at Notre Dame, will receive a $20,000 signing bonus and a guaranteed base salary of $225,000, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Hartman’s signing comes after the Commanders used the No. 2 pick in this week’s NFL draft to select LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.

And in addition to his play on the field, Hartman is also known for his looks, with his long locks and beard catching the attention of Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter at the NFL Combine in March.

Carter called the quarterback a “male role model” and the “nicest guy” at the combine.

“He’s definitely the nicest guy in the damn combine,” Carter said of Hartman.

“I sent a photo of him to my wife. She said, “I thought you were working?”

“A male model, look at this guy, man. Look at him. He has flowing hair and a beard.

Hartman will battle to replace Daniels after finishing his college career with 134 passing touchdowns and 49 interceptions.
