Warriors suffocated by Rockets, Win Streak broke in a loss of chippy

San Francisco-Faced with a range of Houston filled with skyscrapers and wings with enough athletics to touch the clouds, the fluid offensive of Golden State and the free wheel sets were linked to the ground in the loss of 106-96 on Sunday evening.

After scoring 125 points in his last three games, Steph Curry only made one of his 10 goal attempts on the field and only scored three points. Brandin Podziemski posed 19 points, and Buddy Hield and Gary Payton combined to mark 36 on the bench.

Houston entered the match at the top of the Rebound League (48.8 rebounds per night), and this size disadvantage was obvious.

Golden State was outclassed 56-40 in the paint by a rocket front line which included a 6-foot 9 inch Alperen Sangun (19 points) and the terribly athletic duo of Jalen Green and native of San Leandro Amen Thompson in the rear area. The Warriors also had 20 reversals.

The Warriors (46-32) fell into four equality with Minnesota n ° 6 (46-32), n ° 7 La Clippers and n ° 8 Memphis (46-32).

After a second quarter which saw Draymond Green win his 13th technical fault after a bomb and jaw match with Sangun, Golden State experienced an equally high start of the third where Green was called for a blatant fault on the same great man of Rockets.

Golden State, who only dragged 51-50 at halftime, kept things close to the younger and more athletic rockets for a while, with the shot of Hield and keeping the warriors at a distance from the strike.

Podziemski took a defensive rebound from one ocean to the other to reduce the deficit to 83-81 with nine minutes to play, but Jabari Smith immediately responded with undisputed jam after obtaining a pass in place of the Dunker. Houston moved away from there.

After Green was touched with his technical fault in the second quarter, Jalen Green missed the franc launch, which seemed to delight Draymond Green. The warriors’ striker was less enthusiastic when he was called to a 40 -foot fault of the basket with 0.6 to play in half on a Vanvleet Halfcourt shot.

Rocket coach Ime Udoka crossed the Warriors as they left the Court, encouraging Curry to share a few words with him.

This animosity did not dissipate during the 15 -minute intermission.

With 9:57 am to do in the third quarter, Green was called to a blatant fault after hitting Sengun in the face with a elbow. Coach Steve Kerr failed Green out of the match after the incident.

Golden State plays Tuesday in Phoenix.
