San Francisco – A longtime antagonist of warriors added another layer of animosity on Friday to what has already been a controversial series between Golden State and the Houston Rockets.
In a series of playoffs in the first round defined by the physical game, an injury to the star of the Warriors Jimmy Butler, technical faults and quarrels that have existed for years, there is little love between the teams.
Butler was injured after being underestimated by the Houston striker and the native of San Leandro Amen Thompson in the first quarter.
The Warriors coach Steve Kerr said that he did not believe that there was a malicious intention behind the fault that had eliminated Butler of the match and left the question questionable for match 3 with a pelvic injury.
Rocket striker Dillon Brooks saw things differently.
“I think the dirty player is Draymond (for) gives him a little thrust as do the regular basketball players,” Brooks told Media in response to the statements that Thompson’s game may have been dirty. “We hope Jimmy can improve.”
During the availability of the media after Friday training at the Chase Center, Kerr had a short response in response to what the Rockets striker said.
“Dillon said that? Interesting,” said Kerr.
Green’s teammate, Moses Moody, gave a sarcastic response to Brooks’ assertion.
“It’s a bit ironic, isn’t it,” asked Moody rhetorically.
During the semi-finals of the Western 2022 conference as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies, the blatant fault of Brooks on Gary Payton II fractured the elbow of the Warriors wing.
Payton did not return before match 2 of the NBA final against Boston.
