War experts note 13 “Battle of the Lord of the Rings for Realism

The experts of the war assess 14 scenes from the “Lord of the Rings” and “The Lord of the Rings: the rings of power” and judge how real they are.

Archer Jim Kent (“Grizzly Jim”) analyzes the archery of Legolas in “The Lord of the Rings: the two towers”. Blacksmith Neil Kamimura assesses the scenes of “The Lord of the Rings: The Communion of the Ring”. Jouxion World Champion Shane Adams assesses the Helm’s Deep for accuracy fighting scene. The expert in medieval fortification Michael Fulton watches the defense scenes of the fortress of Minas Tirith of “The Lord of the Rings: the return of the king”. The historian of the ancient war Roel Konijnendijk analyzes the battle tactics represented in the siege of Gondor and “The Lord of the Rings: the rings of power”.

Archery Grizzly Jim has been practicing archery for over 20 years and has traveled through Europe for archery events and demonstrations.

Shane Adams has 20 world jousting championships. He hosted the show History Channel “Full Metal Jousting” and the reality show “Tilt”.

Tobias Capwell is the conservative of Wallace Collection weapons and armor in London.

Michael Fulton is assistant professor of medieval history at Western University in Ontario, Canada.

Neil Kamimura has and operates the blacksmith forge t Kamimura in Hawaii.

Roel Konijnendijk is a historian of the former war at Lincoln College, University of Oxford. He specializes in classical Greek war.
