“Walmart Yodeling Kid” Mason Ramsey Grows Up at the 2024 ACM Awards

Give a yodelayheehoo for the Walmart Yodel Kid.

Mason Ramsey hit the red carpet at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards at the Star’s Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, on May 16 — and he looked incredibly grown-up in a sequined black suit paired with a hot pink shirt and ascot in black silk. (See more fashionable red carpet looks here.)

The 17-year-old shared his excitement for the ACM Awards on his Instagram Stories earlier today. Sharing a glimpse of his In-N-Out lunch, Mason said: “I’m really excited because today I have the ACM Awards.”

He added: “I’m going to be able to walk the red carpet and I’m looking forward to it.”

Mason first became famous in 2018 thanks to a video showing him yodeling Hank Williams“Lovesick Blues” at a Walmart went viral, eventually leading to a music career for the Illinois native.

Later that year he was encouraged by Justin Bieber when he joined DJ Whethan for a surprise performance at Coachella. In fact, Justin — himself a former viral sensation — even posted about Mason on his Instagram before the performance and took a photo backstage with the budding star.
