BRUSSELS – The president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen promised on Tuesday to take “farms and proportionate” measures after the American president Donald Trump announced prices on imports of steel and aluminum overnight.
“Prices are taxes – bad for business, worse for consumers,” said Von Der Leyen in a press release.
The 25% “unjustified” prices on steel, aluminum and reciprocal prices on other products “will not remain unanswered,” said Von Der Leyen.
