Video shows injured Palestinian tied to Israeli military jeep

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said some of its soldiers violated protocol by tying a wounded Palestinian to the front of a military jeep, Reuters reported.

A video shared on X by the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) shows the man lying on the vehicle as it passes two PRCS ambulances.

Reuters said it had verified the video.

The PRCS said Israeli forces “prevented Palestinian Red Crescent teams from providing first aid to an injured person” in Jenin, a city in the occupied West Bank.

“They then placed the injured man in the front of a military jeep and arrested him before allowing our teams to transfer him to hospital,” the organization said.

The Israeli army confirmed the incident in a statement, saying the man, suspected in a raid, was injured during an exchange of fire.

“This morning (Saturday), during counterterrorism operations aimed at apprehending wanted suspects in the Wadi Burqin area, terrorists opened fire on IDF troops, who responded with fire,” the IDF statement said. , according to the BBC.
