Victoria Justice Shares Coachella Essentials and Plans for New Music

E! : Do you have any plans to release more music? Are there any hints you can give your fans about what we can expect?
VJ: Yes, absolutely. I’m focusing on music right now and will be releasing new music very soon! When it comes to musical direction, I feel like I’m always going to stay true, both lyrically and sonically, to what feels authentic to me. I have a song coming up that’s very, you know, stripped down with guitar and vibey, and one that’s more danceable. Sonically it still feels like me and under the pop umbrella, but lyrically they’re all very honest and true to where I’m at.

E! : Do you have any goals you would like to achieve in your 30s? What are you most looking forward to in your 30s?
VJ: I would like to release a full album, that’s one of my goals. I want to do more movies and do more acting projects that I think are cool and that stretch me in different ways. And traveling more is definitely something I want to do! I’m really looking forward to being a mom – which seems so crazy – and eventually starting my own family.

E! : What makes you smile the most? What is the best advice you have received that has inspired you on your journey?
VJ: Friends and family make me smile the most. And also the people who have supported me for a long time certainly make me smile, with the love they have constantly shown me over the years. I want to make them proud. They mean a lot to me. Music, art, fashion, nature and good food make me smile. The best advice, I would say, is “Stay true to yourself. Follow your own instincts and intuition.”

E! : Last year you were in your #SentimentalGirlSummer era. What is your mood/time for this year?
VJ: I mean, I’m in my thirties now! I’m 31, so thirty years old, attractive and fulfilled! It’s the mood that moves forward! Musically, I feel empowered and I’m really thriving as a woman and I have all these things that come with that. Just sharing and being my most authentic self. I think authenticity is the overall “vibe.”
