SNK took to the stage at Evo 2024 today to hold their special King of Fighters and Fatal Fury panel for tournament attendees. As we’ve seen with today’s other panels, this presentation was also streamed live for all viewers at home.
During the panel, SNK revealed the identity of the recent silhouette for the upcoming special DLC for King of Fighters 15. As many had guessed, Vice and Mature are joining the playable roster.
Despite some initial speculation that these two fighters would occupy a single character slot and act as a duo fighter, Vice and Mature are standalone characters.
SNK has announced that Vice and Mature are set to join King of Fighters 15 this December. They will be released at the same time.
With the addition of Vice and Mature, SNK noted that all eight heads of Orochi will now officially be present in King of Fighters 15. These two DLC characters along with Iori also round out Team Yagami’s classic lineup.
Unfortunately, no trailers or gameplay videos were shown for Mature and Vice during this panel. However, the SNK team did show several slides that give us an idea of what they will look like in KOF15.
The developers have stated that they chose to go with Vice and Mature’s classic looks as defaults for KOF15 because of their iconic nature. We see Vice and Mature wearing their matching dresses in the provided concept art, and both are also sporting their classic hairstyles.
Mature made her debut in King of Fighters ’94, while Vice followed in King of Fighters ’95. Both fighters acted as secretaries to Rugal Bernstein before joining Team Yagami in King of Fighter ’96.
More recently, we saw Mature and Vice as playable characters in the King of Fighters 14 launch roster.
