Sheder Sanders obtained a dose of reality after falling at the 144th choice of the NFL draft this week.
Once projected as a high first -round choice, the Colorado star, 23, and son of the renowned Temple Deion Sanders, will now face veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett as well as his colleague Recruue Dillon Gabriel for snaps in the offensive of coach Kevin Stefanski. And if that was not already specified by the crowded depth painting of the Browns, the director general Andrew Berry crystallized this point during the press conference on Saturday.
“I think SheDer has grown up under the spotlight,” said Berry about the second generation NFL player, “but our expectations are for him to come here and work and compete.”
Berry’s enthusiasm for the writing of SheDer is a question of debate among the fans, but he explained the reason for the team for the choice after having died on Thursday and Friday.
“We live with our board of directors, and we felt like we were a good solid perspective in the most important position,” said Berry. “We felt like we had reached a point where he was probably poorly assessed compared to the project. The acquisition cost was quite light, and we think it is a guy who can overcome his slot machine.
For his part, SheDer said he was happy to prove himself when learning the NFL game.
Shedeur Sanders attended a Hawks-Knicks match in New York in December, when he was still supposed to be the first choice of the NFL 2025 draft

Football fans in the eyes of Eagle have spotted curiously stoic faces in the Cleveland Browns War Salle after the Sanders Sheder selection by the team with the 144th choice on Saturday
“I just have to prove and show what I am capable of,” Sanders told Local Media. “But what eats me is my goal in the life and understanding of the route that we are going to have to take. Understand that I could have an opportunity when many people did not want to give me an opportunity. So that’s what I’m really grateful. So that’s what lines me up.
Sheder was naturally relieved to be out of the set, but it did not seem to be a lot of celebration.
“This is what it is about,” he said. “You cannot be too low or anything. You must be able to celebrate. When we mark a touchdown, we celebrate a little and now it’s back, it’s time to work, it’s time to leave. All that is is a football match for me, and that’s how I see it.
“Nothing has really affected me in recent days,” he added later. “I am blessed. I know that I have to clean up some things in my game. The main thing is to prove that Stefanski and Mr. Berry are right to choose me.
Asked about the information according to which his poor team interviews may have led to his fall, Sheder has refocused his response on his opportunity in Cleveland.
“I think what happened is that I had an excellent interview and an excellent process with the Browns and that is why they were able to choose me,” he said. “Everything that is outside the organization is really a non-factor for me now. This is my goal.

Joe Flacco returns for a second passage with the Cleveland Browns at 40 this season
Before the press conferences, fans in the eyes of Eagle spotted curiously stoic faces in the Browns War Hall.
There were some female in the form of self-félicitations in the form of light applause, but Stefanski and Berry seemed to have a “ weapon pointed at them ”, according to a person on X.
“Why does that seem to have been forced to write Sanders?” Asked another according to the confusing fall of Sheder of a choice provided in the first round to a single selection of fifth round.
The confusion stems from the Browns’ decision to take two quarters in this year’s draft: Sanders and the former Oregon Ducks star Gabriel, the 94th choice of recovery.
And given the team’s out-of-season additions, Joe Flacco, 40, and Kenny Pickett, 26, not to mention the Specter of Deshaun Watson, Berry & Co. now have a fairly congested quarter-back room.
“It was not necessarily the plan entering the weekend to select two quarters,” Berry told journalists on Saturday. “But you know, we believe in the best available player with position value. And you know that we did not necessarily expect (Sanders) to be available in the fifth round.
Of course, the Browns – like all the other NFL teams – have passed the best part of the three -day draft passing over the son of the corner of the Dion Sanders renown temple. So, Berry’s sudden enthusiasm to exchange the fifth round to take SheDerre seemed inauthentic to certain fans.
‘Flashes twice if you need help, Cleveland Browns” wrote a fan on X.

Sanders was left to look at when he slipped the draft boards Thursday evening
Another owner accused Jimmy Haslam of having forced his Front Office to do this business, thus ending the slide three days of Sheder who captivated everyone, everyday football fans to NFL analysts and even President Donald Trump.
“Lol was a choice of Jimmy Haslem (sic),” wrote the fan, badly spelled the name of the 71 -year -old owner. “None of these guys (at the front office) is happy.
Many fans thought that Berry’s reaction was understandable. Sheder is a choice of fifth round, and although he was considered the best quarter of the NFL draft by ESPN Guru Mel Kiper Jr., he slipped to 144 for a reason.
“Is it a late choice?” asked for a fan. “Do you expect everyone to joy for 200 choices?”
But not everyone saw Berry’s non-reaction as being so innocent.
As a fan replied: “A real smile would have been enough.
Stefanski and Berry both depressed fans’ concerns when they were talking with Mary Kay Cabot from Cleveland.com.
“I asked #browns Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry about this clip,” she wrote on X. “Stefanski said not to read it and that the video did not always go there with the real production of choice.”
