Getty imagesUS vice-president JD Vance suggested that the power of American judges is starting to reach its limit, because the White House responds to a wave of proceedings that aim to block its program.
“Judges are not allowed to control the legitimate power of the executive,” he wrote on X.
Sunday, Vance’s remarks occurred less than 24 hours after a judge blocked members of the newly created advisory body of Trump, the Ministry of Government Effectiveness (DOGE), access to sensitive systems of the Treasury Department.
The Trump administration, seeking to quickly and radically reshape the federal government, is challenged by legal obstacles – including more than two dozen proceedings.
During his three weeks of power, Trump signed dozens of decrees, many of whom are alleged by his democratic opponents to have exceeded his constitutional authority.
The affairs deposited by the Democrats prevented several of these orders from entering into force, the federal judges emitting temporary blocks.
Addressing ABC on Sunday, the Democratic Senator Chris Murphy suggested the reduction of Trump’s dramatic costs – including for his main agency of help abroad, USAID – equivalent to “the most serious constitutional crisis to which The country has been confronted, certainly from Watergate “.

While Trump was heading for New Orleans for the Super Bowl on Sunday, he told journalists that the judge’s decision was a “shame,” said New York Times.
Trump has named Musk to lead Doge to reduce what he describes as unnecessary public spending.
Musk himself called the “crazy” decision, asking: “How do I devil are we supposed to stop the fraud and waste of taxpayers’ money without seeing how money is spent?”
In Vance’s social networks, he cited other types of decisions by the executive power he suggested, apart from the scope of the legal mandate of the courts.
“If a judge tried to tell a general how to carry out a military operation, it would be illegal,” wrote Vance. “If a judge tried to command the Attorney General on how to use his discretionary power as a prosecutor, it is also illegal.”
Liz Cheney, a former republican representative of the Chamber who campaigned during the presidential election against Trump, resumed Vance.
“If you think that one of the multiple federal courts that has ruled against you so far exceeds their statutory or constitutional authority, your appeal is to appeal,” wrote Cheney on X.
“You can’t make the Republic rage just because you lose. It is tyranny.”
The case against Doge’s access to the Treasury was filed before the New York Federal Court.
He alleges that the Trump administration violated the federal law by allowing the Musk team to access the central payment system of the ministry.
The payment system manages tax reimbursements and social security services and contains a large network of personal and financial data from Americans.
An audience for the case was set for Friday.
