A 23 -year -old influencer was shot dead Tuesday in a beauty salon in Jalisco, Mexico, when she was live on Tiktok, according to the office of the state prosecutor.
The influencer, Valeria Márquez, worked at the show in Zapopan, which is part of the metropolitan region of Guadalajara, and spread to some of his 113,000 followers on Tiktok, when two men went outside on a Motor, said Denis Rodríguez, a spokesperson for the office of the state of Jalisco. One of the men entered the living room with a mask, looking for Ms. Márquez.
“He asked him directly:” Are you Valeria? “” Said Rodríguez. She replied: “Yes”.
The man then took out a pistol and shot him before jumping on the motorcycle and fleeing.
The Tiktok account of Ms. Márquez seemed to have been deleted on Wednesday, but a video of the killing circulating online, which was confirmed by the prosecutor’s office, I showed him sitting on a chair in the living room, holding a pink plush pig on his lap, before looking away from the camera. A moment later, she clings to her chest and stomach before collapsing on her chair. Another woman’s face is then seen before the video cuts.
When the investigators arrived later, “she was still sitting on the chair, where she was surprised, with this doll, the little pig, just there in her arms,” said Rodríguez.
The prosecutor’s office said he had no suspects, but he was examining surveillance images and painted his social media for clues that the attackers could be. The men, who visited the shop earlier during the day, saying they were trying to deliver a gift to Ms. Márquez, probably did not know her personally, because they had to ask her by name, said Rodríguez.
