Beauty influencer Valeria Marquez Died May 13 after a man entered his Jalisco, Mexico, beauty salon and killed her fatally, according to a report by the local prosecutor’s office, via the translation. She was 23 years old.
The attack occurred while Marquez was a live flow on Tiktok inside its Blossom beauty salon, said the prosecutor’s office. A video of the fatal incident then circulated on various platforms, in which she seemed to tighten her abdomen before her body was soft.
The shooting took place around 6.30 p.m. local time, according to the preliminary report of the Attorney General. The first stakeholders arrived on the scene after a call to 911, although paramedical paramedics confirmed that Marquez had no vital signs when they arrived.
As the report was published, the officials were on the spot to bring together evidence and speak with witnesses to determine the details of the attack and identify Marquez’s attacker. The report also noted that the incident was treated as a femicide, which is the murder of a woman or a girl for reasons based on their sex.
