Alexander told Fox News Digital that it meant a lot to him to have the eventual winner of the game.

“I earn the respect and trust of my players and my coaches to be able to know that they can put the ball in my hands at any time and I can make a play for them and for them to be confident and know that the game is never over as long as I’m on the pitch and trusting myself to do what I have to do,” he said.

“All 10 guys on this game, we had great blocks. We had key non-blocks because if they had blocked they would have been called up. Some guys held on and were smart about it. ( Special teams coach Martin Bayless) had a big plan laid out and we executed it. It wasn’t just me. A lot of people played a big role.

The wide receiver has 20 catches for 234 yards and two touchdowns this season. He also added 164 punt return yards, earning him an All-USFL selection.

Alexander is taking his vast big game experience with him into the title match.
