US lawmakers seek assurances on use of Ukraine aid

Since Russia invaded Ukraine more than a year ago, the United States has committed approximately $113 billion in military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, making it one of the largest assistance programs never approved by the US government. Investigators assured lawmakers on Wednesday that the money was being strictly monitored to ensure it was used as intended by Congress.
