American oil prices fell below $ 60 a barrel on Sunday on President Donald Trump’s world rates, President Donald Trump would push the United States, and perhaps the world, in a recession.
The term contracts linked to US West Texas Intermediate Brude fell by more than 3% to $ 59.74 on Sunday evening. This decision comes after a consecutive drop of 6% last week. WTI is now at the lowest since April 2021.
Concerns rose that prices could lead to higher prices for businesses, which could result in a slowdown in economic activity that would ultimately harm oil demand.

The prices, which should come into force this week, “would probably push the United States and perhaps the world economy in the recession this year,” according to JPMorgan. The company increased its chances of recession this year to 60% on Thursday after the price deployment, compared to 40%.
