Update on Drew McIntyre after saying that he got a “real glass” in his eyes during the WWE Smackdown segment

As we can see during the March 28, 2025 edition of WWE Smackdown, Damian Priest put Drew McIntyre through a car windshield with his Chokeslam south of Heaven. After the show, McIntyre wrote the following message on Twitter / X…

“It was a real glass … He got into my eye.”

Mike Johnson de Pwinsider.com was informed that McIntyre was wearing a patch of the eyes behind the scenes after the angle and told people that the glass had been removed from his eye. However, Johnson also noted the following …

“After talking with additional WWE sources on their return to the United States, we are told that even if McIntyre had received a treatment to have something free from his eye after the angle on the scene, we were told today that it was determined that what was removed was not glass. We were also told that McIntyre had been checked by WWE Medical before leaving Smackdown. ”

McIntyre using the line of “real glass” was apparently a reference to the CM Punk incident with Jack Perry during the AEW All in PPV 2023 event.
