The third goal of the New York Yankees, Oswaldo Cabrera, was placed on the IL with a fracture of the left ankle, the team announced on Tuesday. This decision occurs one day after the interior field player was withdrawn from the field in an ambulance during the ninth round of the 11-5 Monday victory against the Seattle Mariners (box score). Cabrera suffered the injury while scoring the third goal on a sacrificial fly by Aaron judge.

The Yankees left the match on Monday with a 24-17 file, good for first place in the American League East. The Boston Red Sox lost on Monday, which means that the Yankees enter Tuesday with a three -game advance in the division.
