Broadway Boy is “stiff and painful” after taking a painful fall during the Grand National in Aintree on Saturday, which aroused worries among fans.
Horse 33-1 had led during most of the race, but took a disturbing fall and the cameras immediately cut off from the disturbing scene.
He had jumped well before and was ahead of the field, but while Broadway Boy gave off, the horse seemed to fall on his legs before his head seems to crash in the ground.

The son of coach Nigel Twiston-Davies, Sam, shared the update with subscribers on X when he wrote: “He is stiff and sore, but everything that comes home this morning”.

“Broadway Boy is loaded on the horses’ ambulance and returns home. A horse so special for all of us at Grangehill Farm. A big thank you to Laura who stayed with him overnight ”.
On Saturday, Matt Chapman of ITV provided an initial update, reporting that the veterinarians are “full of hope” on the Broadway Boy.

The National had started positively for Broadway Boy, which belongs to Nigel Twiston-Davies, and he was quickly ahead of the rest of the field until his fall.
ITV was criticized for not having mentioned the fall for the rest or the day after the race with the cover centered on the winning horse, Nick Rockett, and the triumphant father-son duo of the owner Willie Mullins and the Jockey Patrick Mullin.

“The lack of information provided on the well-being of these horses is despicable and demonstrates the lack of industry care towards these horses. It is a “washing of well-being”, to its most insidious.
It was later revealed that Allen Celebre was seen entering the horse’s ambulance before returning to his stables, when it was also announced that there was an investigation by the stewards in progress on the conduct of him.
