UP court grants bail to Pakistani woman who traveled to India to meet PUBG partner

The duo had made contact in 2019 while playing online game PUBG and eventually grew close to the point that she decided to come to India to stay with him in Greater Noida.

The Pakistani woman and her Indian partner, both arrested by police for staying in India illegally, were released on bail by a court in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh on Friday, officials said.

Seema Ghulam Haider, around 30, and Sachin Meena, around 25, were arrested on July 4. While Seema was accused of entering India illegally, Sachin was convicted of harboring the illegal immigrant.

On July 4, Sachin and Seema confessed their love to the media and the police, urging the government to allow them to marry and stay together in India.
