The upright football player, Jeremiah Kelly, died early Tuesday morning at the age of 18, announced the sports department of the University of Cincinnati.
The offensive line player unexpectedly died at his residence. No cause of death has been given.
Kelly was a first -year student with the Bearcates – L’Alma Mater de Travis and Jason Kelce – and had just concluded her first training in the spring with the team.
“The Football Bearcates family is broken by the sudden loss of this exceptional young man,” Cb coach Scott Setterfield said in a statement.
“In a short time, Jeremiah spent with our team, he had a real impact, both on the field and in our locker rooms. My prayers are with the Kelly family and those who had the pleasure of knowing Jeremiah.
Kelly registered himself at the University of Cincinnati in January after helping his Ohio high school, the Avon High School Eagles, the State Championship and a file of 16-0.
