Ukraine and water signed an economic cooperation partnership on Monday, opening free trade, said Zelenskyy. He added that he would go to Türkiye on Tuesday, when Russia and the United States should meet in Riyadh and will only arrive in Saudi Arabia the next day.
“So, once again, my visits have nothing in common with these discussions. Although when I arrive in Saudi Arabia, I will ask His Majesty what he knows about the subjects of the talks, “added Zelenskyy.
“You know it was sort of good to speak to the attacker during the war, but the discussions on the need to renew the negotiations were there for some time,” said Zelenskyy.
He praised the prospect that European leaders are part of the negotiations, as well as “all those who want and who would give Ukraine real security guarantees and Putin pressure for peace”.
Moscow and Washington, however, rejected the idea of European participation.
“It is not clear to me why European countries should participate in negotiations on Ukraine,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday.
The American-Russia meeting will be dedicated “first of all to the restoration of the entire Russian-American relations complex,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday. “It will also be dedicated to the preparation of possible negotiations on the Ukrainian regulation and the organization of a meeting between the two presidents.”
