Klitschko, a political opponent from Volodymyr Zelenskyy, clearly said that the Ukrainian president had discussed nothing with him: “President Zelenskyy does himself. This is not my function. ”
While admitting that it would be a “painful solution” to reach peace, Klitschko insisted that the Ukrainian people “would never accept the long -term occupation of Moscow.
But the mayor of kyiv’s mayor on a temporary transfer of land contrasts strongly with an American peace plan which strongly favors Moscow, calling for American recognition of Russia control over Crimea, a non-start for Ukraine.
Klitschko’s comments are intervened while Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, is expected to meet Russian president Vladimir Putin for more peace talks. Almost 100 days since his return to power, Trump insisted that he had pressure on kyiv and Moscow at the end of the war – what leadership in Ukraine.
“You have no idea of the pressure I put on Russia,” said Trump on Thursday. “We put a lot of pressure on Russia.”
