UFC Vegas 106 Results: SOOO … On last night | Burns vs morals

Yesterday evening (Saturday, May 17, 2025), Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned home to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, in Nevada for the UFC Vegas 106. It was an average “combat combat” event in terms of classified fighters and general relevance, and it was a mixed bag overall. On the positive side, the “prelime” generally exceeded expectations in terms of action! There may have been no figures next to these names, but the finish opening series was very fun. Unfortunately, the main card has slowed the momentum a little, and lose Paul Craig against Rodolfo Bellato in the literal the last second was also a precise disappointment.

Let’s take a look at the best performance and techniques of the evening:

Morals makes a declaration

Michael Morales could be the largest and strongest man at 170 pounds.

It is really an imposing physical strength. Gilbert Burns showed up shredded and ready to throw last night, but he could not scare morals at all. Even when he landed solid counters, morals hausses them with shoulders and would start throwing heavy leather again. Similarly, a double leg of perfectly timed burns was barely sufficient to slide it, not to mention it to keep it on the ground.

In a few minutes, the writing was on the wall: morals was too fast and powerful for burns, and the two men knew it. Morales continued to press its advantages with increasing confidence, overwhelming burns with punches in the jostles. It was not the silky smooth box combinations of Jack Della Maddalena a week ago, but with this size and this power, they did not have to be.

Burns hit the ground more than once before the referee saves him.

UFC Fight Night: Erosa V Costa

Melquizael CostaFighter of the year 2025?

Costa against Julian Erosa was an absolute banger.

Costa has really become a kickboxeur so neat, dexter with both legs. He moves well along the outside of the cage, digging his opponent with left kicks, then interrupting their attempts at close range with lead leg bite with a knee / thigh. The first five minutes served as a showcase for all of his tips and tactics because he separated Erosa with a wide range of punitive kicks. He has never completely managed to plant “Juicy J”, but he has vacillated several times.

On this note, his hands seem more clearly than ever, if they are always a wild touch.

Erosa is nothing except a player, and he started to succeed in the second round. He was able to push Costa to the fence more often and cancel a little of this speed, finding a house for his own club plans. He was still walking in hell to land, however, and the tide did not really turn to the third round. At that time, Costa launched and still scored, but he was tired enough for the Erosa to keep him constantly on his rear foot with a wobbly fans of combinations and punches.

It was very fun, and Costa left as a deserved winner. He now has 3-0 in the past four months, having defeated Erosa, Christian Rodriguez and Andre Fili impressively. I would bet very few UFC fans knew in fact his name six months ago, so it was a very fast increase for the Brazilian perspective!

Another 28 years, a ranking earlier than late would not surprise me.

UFC Fight Night: Gordon V Moises

Put a little respect on the name of Gordon

Jared Gordon seems to be late flowering.

There was a period between 2018-2019 when it did not seem that Gordon would stay for a long time, undergoing three defeats with direct elimination in four fights. It has historically been more a cardio machine than the finisher, and it is difficult to be the volume if you cannot take pictures in return. A sequence of victories with three fights helped establish its place on the list and to prove its sustainability, but these are all victories decisions, and Grant Dawson dominated it later to put an end to any highest race.

Since then, Gordon looks clearer than ever despite leaving theoretically his physical peak. His boxing has really improved, allowing Gordon to mix in his withdrawals rather than counting fully on them to succeed. His improved boxing feats are also what allowed him to land so many left hooks on the chin of Paddy Pimbett. Even if the judges did not reward his good job, the improvements are clear.

Finally, the results show, because Gordon won two fights via KO in the last three. At 36, he found his power, marking only one right to completely separate Thiago Moises from his conscience. Its combination of strong struggle, large cardio, new power, And The high level experience is now very legitimate!

I do not expect a title race or a sequence of prolonged victories, but “Flash” is about as good as unusual light weights at the moment.

Additional thoughts

  • Gabe Green defeats Matheus Camilo via the second -round rear nude starter: It has been two years since we saw Gabe Green for the last time in the octagon exploded by Bryan Battle. He returned here from 15 pounds lighter, the air shredded in his new weight category. Despite the improved physique, the rust of the ring cost him the opening tower, because he was checked and sank several times by the newcomer of the UFC. Awakened in the second round, Green loaded forward with his own dismantling. Camilo replied with a nice triangle strangulation, but he could not secure the finish and gassed his own legs in the process. As soon as Green escaped strangulation, Camilo was visibly weaker and Green was able to jump his back quickly and return to the victory column with style.
  • Yadier del Valle defeats Connor Matthews via the naked starter in the first round: It is rare to see a Candidates The product began his career in UFC as a 6-1 favorite. Then the fight started and the coast manufacturers were immediately justified! Del Valle opened the competition by exploding his enemy with kicks, then grabbing a kick to win the first position. He quickly posted on Matthews and dropped the hammer, convincing “the controller” to turn away and give up the back. The tap came shortly after, and this third consecutive defeat will probably be the last appearance of Matthews in the promotion.
  • Luana Santos defeats Tainara Lisboa Via Second Tour Americana (Strengths):: Santos’ grapple transported her through this fight. The withdrawals came quite easily, but in the first round, she could not mark too much offense. However, when she won in the second, this dynamic moved. She landed for a few solid shots and began to attack Americaa, which is the resolutely less dangerous cousin of Kimura. Generally, it is a very difficult to end in the MMA, but with a short time, she still chose to throw it! His assault borne fruit because the Lisboa arm was reversed enough to force a tap with a few seconds to play. It is a great rebound victory for Santos, as well as a successful return of the roosters for women!
  • Denis Gomes Bat Elise Reed via the second round knock-out: Gomes dominated this fight. Reed likes to keep her low hands to pulled straight punches, but the power differential has made a bad strategy here. The first connection at the origin of Gomes seriously injured Reed and should probably have finished the fight, but she chose to start in the high -level position instead. All this time to recover did not help Reed (or her broken face), when she fell early into the second to another big right swing. For unknown reasons, the referee really took his time by leaving monitoring of follow -up rather than saving the athlete clearly done. Anyway, Gomes now conducts a sequence of victories with three fights at only 25 years old and could still become a player at 115 pounds.
  • Hyun Sung Park defeats Carlos Hernandez via the naked starter in the first round (Strengths):: Park, 29, could well be the best hope of the UFC in South Korea at the moment. Invainu as a professional, it improved at 3-0 inside the octagon here and made it easy. Hernandez was well aware that Park wanted to make him fall and suffocate him, but he still could not gather more than a few minutes of resistance. Park is a high -level backpack in a division full of them, and I hope that this victory suits him in place in competition against more proven talents of 125 pounds.
