MMA Fighting has the results of the UFC BJJ 1 for the Musumeci combat card against Gabriel and more from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nev., Wednesday evening.
The UFC is making its next push in the world of competitive jiu-jitsu with the UFC BJJ 1. Although the promotion has hosted several UFC combat pass invitations, this event signals the start of the UFC’s own competitive league and will crown three new champions.
In the main event, Mikey Musumeci And Redisson Gabriel Will fight for the inaugural title of rooster weights, whilerew Tackett and Andy Varela will fight for the Welter weight title in the co-printing event, and Carlos Henrique and Danilo Moreira take place for the light belt in the case of the evening.
The UFC BJJ 1 will also include five other fights with mounting talents in the grapple landscape, including Bella MirDaughter of the former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir.
