UCF board member, sheriff’s office employee walk free after sex sting arrest

Seminole County deputies arrested four people at local parks, including University of Central Florida board member Harold Mills.

Mills is accused of meeting with an undercover deputy for inappropriate activity on Thursday.

Deputies also arrested a Seminole County Sheriff’s Office employee, Leroy Green.

The sting operation took place at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs and Liberty Park in Lake Mary.

Deputies said the complaints led them to move into the park and that users of an app were lured to the park.

The app is for men who are trying to meet.

Undercover agents said Jairo Areis, Leroy Green, Harold Mills and Eric Tuttle were in contact with them with the intent of committing a sexual act.

Reports showed Green worked for the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and was arrested with a Youth Services shirt.

Mills’ lawyer, Mark Nejame, told Channel 9 they will take the matter up in court.

Mills also serves on the Board of Trustees of Rollins College, is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Florida Blue and.

Channel 9 contacted organizations linked to Mills, and some provided the following statements:

Florida Blue:

We are aware of the situation, but are unable to provide comment at this time.

Orlando Economic Partnership:

No comment on his arrest, but they are aware and he remains vice president of the board.
