U.S. Treasury Raises Borrowing Estimates Due to Weak Cash Inflows
The US Treasury revised its estimates of quarterly federal borrowing upwards. Due to lower cash inflows, the Treasury now plans to borrow $243 billion in the current quarter and a net $847 billion between July and September.
