The United States could propose banning Chinese software in self-driving vehicles in the coming weeks due to safety concerns, Reuters reports.

The Biden administration is considering proposing regulations that would ban the use of Chinese software in U.S. vehicles with Level 3 or higher automation, Reuters reported, citing unidentified sources. The measure would also ban testing of autonomous vehicles made by Chinese companies on U.S. roads, the report said.
